Black Skin Approved Sunscreen: EltaMD UV Sheer Broad‐Spectrum SPF 50+
Hello, beautiful people! My name is Terrell Britten and I want to share sunscreens that work for my deep skin tone. This week, I put the EltaMD UV Sheer Broad Spectrum SPF 50+ ($30) to the test.
This is a sheer, water and sweat-resistant sunscreen that contains both chemical (or organic) and mineral UV filters. It also has antioxidants like vitamin c to improve the signs of skin aging as well as squalane to help restore that suppleness that makes your skin feel bouncy and hydrated. It’s also dye-free, fragrance-free, oil-free, paraben-free and alcohol-free.
This formula glided smoothly onto my skin without feeling heavy or greasy. I like that it absorbs quickly and doesn’t melt off my face, even I get a little sweaty from running errands around Los Angeles. It gives you a satin finish on the skin, not too glowy and not too matte. And I didn’t get a white, grey, or purple cast on my skin after I applied and let it settle for at least 10 minutes.
This lovely guy will be added to my SPF crew that works for my skin complexion. Tell me in the comments if you’ve tried this sunscreen and let me know what you think.
