What is a Carbon Laser Facial?
As a producer for The SASS, I try out a lot of the treatments Susan Yara and Sharzad Kiadeh do on the show before we film. One of those treatments was the carbon laser facial at Thibiant Beverly Hills. It’s a laser that exfoliates the skin and makes it look super glowy afterwards!
Here are some pros and cons to consider if you’re interested in the treatment.
PROS:
It’s great for all skin types—even sensitive skin!
It can help reduce melasma (hyperpigmentation). BUT make sure you get your treatment done with someone who is experienced because they do need to make some adjustments.
It gives your skin an amazing glow! The carbon attaches to dirt, dead skin cells, toxins, and free radicals and then the laser removes all of it. I was obsessed with how amazing my skin looked afterwards.
It’s completely painless. The sensation of the laser going across your skin feels like the teeniest rubber band snaps. It actually tickles!
CONS:
The results don’t last very long. Typically, you can expect to have smooth skin for about a week or two before you need to go in again to maintain the results.
It can be expensive. At Thibiant, the treatment costs about $400. That said, there are plenty of other locations that offer is at a wide range of prices. For example, Skin Laundry offers the for $150.
