Beanies to the Hair Rescue This Winter
Many of us will stop at nothing to prolong a good blowout. Hey, we either spend $40 on it or we spend 30 plus minutes doing it ourselves. The bottom line is, it has to last at least three days, if not more. And while dry shampoo is a must, it can only get you so far. That's why I recommend a beanie. Since it’s cold out, it can really come in handy and I personally think it looks really cute.
Think about it. Oily roots are a dead giveaway that it’s time to wash your hair, but a beanie can hide them--like literally cover them up. Just smooth out the ends of your hair or throw in a few curls, and voila! Now you have no excuse for a bad hair day.
A messy side chignon or a low ponytail also goes well with a beanie. And since hair holds a style better when it’s a little dirty, you’ll have some texture to work too.

Another option is to create a messy braid (or two) with the look. You don't have to be an expert braider. The best part about a beanie is that you don’t have to worry about what the top looks like, so there’s more room for error. That said, why not try a push braid? Watch this easy-to-follow braid tutorial from Nine Zero One to see how to do it.
So the next time you feel like you have no choice but to slave away on another blowdry session, just pull out your trusty beanie and save yourself one more day. Check out the videos below for some more inspiration and shop for cute beanies below.
