Black Skin Approved Sunscreen: Supergoop! Superscreen Daily Moisturizer SPF 40
Hello, beautiful people! My name is Terrell Britten and I wanted to share a sunscreen that works for my deep skin tone. This week, I put the Supergoop! Superscreen Daily Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 40 PA +++ ($38) to the test.
This is a sunscreen moisturizer with SPF 40 thanks to “reef-safe” chemical UV filers. It contains a mineral element called cerium that reflects and shields against blue light (emitted from the sun and devices). There’s also blue-green algae, an antioxidant, that helps repair the skin.
The creamy texture of this moisturizer blended beautifully onto my oily-combination skin and left it glowy and hydrated. It didn’t feel too heavy or greasy and, the best part, it didn’t leave a white, purple, or grey cast on my skin.
My tip for applying sunscreens is to pat or press them into your skin (and not rub them in). I find that they blend easier and look more even when I do this.
This sunscreen has been a staple in my skincare routine and I don’t know what I would do without it. Tell me in the comments if you’ve tried this sunscreen and let me know what you think.
