Not A Fan Of Lip Liner? These 3 Picks Will Change Your Mind
I’m a lipstick hoarder. The colors! The pigment! The shine! I can never get enough. But lip liner? I have high expectations.
For the long time, I refused to wear it. I found them hard to apply, and uncomfortable to wear. The way some of them feathered? No thanks. But since the rise in popularity of the perfect pout (we're looking at you, Kylie Jenner), lip liners aren't like they used to be. Now, with easy-to-apply precision, we can achieve fuller lips and symmetry without having to step foot in a doctor's office.
Here are my three favorite picks that have made me a lip liner fan (hoarder) for life:
Charlotte Tilbury “Lip Cheat” Lip Liner
There’s a lot of hype around this product. But trust me, it lives up to it! The velvety formula makes a perfect base for your favorite lipstick. I use Iconic Nude ($22) and it's truly my staple nude liner. Sometimes, I'll wear the liner on it's own, and top it off with a lipgloss or balm for added moisture.
Marc Jacobs Poutliner Longwear Lip Liner
I’m OBSESSED with these gel-based liners. They are comfortable to wear, and go on smooth to last all day. I might even say they’re my favorite of the three! The shade Slow Burn ($24), a rosy matte, is my jam right now. I've been pairing it with the Le Marc Creme Lipstick in the same shade. The liner even looks good by itself! To be honest, this might be my favorite of the three!
Bite Beauty The Lip Pencil
I’ve never met a Bite lip product I didn’t like. The classic wood pencil is how it should be–creamy, lightweight, and won't tug on your lips when you apply it. The colors range from classic nudes to pinks, all the way bold whites, greens, and reds. I suggest Shade 076 if you're looking for a bright pop of color. It's a beautiful deep orange red!
