Best Lip Balms and Treatments for Dry, Chapped Lips
Winter 2022 is in full swing, which means you may find yourself dealing with one of the worst side effects of chilly months: dry, chapped lips. Lipstick clinging onto dry patches is a personal pet peeve, so I take my lip care very seriously all year round, but I double down as the temperatures drop. So if you want soft, supple lips during the winter months, then you’ll need lip products that can weather the storm. I’ve tried dozens of lip balms and treatments over the years and here are the ones I always go back to.
Fresh Sugar Lip Polish
This lip polish is made with sugar, jojoba oil, and shea butter that exfoliate and hydrate your lips, leaving a perfect, smooth canvas for lip balm or lipstick.
KNC Beauty Collagen Lip Mask
You definitely don’t need this KNC Beauty Lip Mask, but it’s really freaking cute! The star ingredient in this is plumping collagen, but it also has rose flower oil to moisturize, and vitamin E to nourish and leave your lips soft and kissable. Plus they make a great photo op!
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask
No matter how cracked or chapped my lips are, the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask always comes to the rescue. I even use it during the day as a lip balm on days that my lips need extra protection. There are a few different flavors to choose from, but my personal favorite is Gummy Bear!
NATURIUM Phyto-Glow Lip Balm
I always have a NATURIUM Phyto-Glow Lip Balm in my purse. They’re formulated with phyto-derived esters, shea, cupuacu butter and plant squalane to moisturize and nourish the lips while providing a long-lasting glossy shine. They are amazing on their own or as lipstick toppers. The clear balm is great as an overnight lip mask too!
*NATURIUM is Susan Yara’s skincare brand.
Aquaphor Healing Ointment
You don’t have to shell out a ton of cash for a good lip treatment – Aquaphor always does the trick. It’s affordable, insanely moisturizing, and you can use it pretty much anywhere on your body that needs a little extra T.L.C.
Tatcha The Kissu Lip Mask
I wish could bathe in Tacha’s The Kissu Lip Mask. It hydrates and softens the lips like nothing else, and I love the lightweight jelly texture. It has unique ingredients like Japanese peach extract that helps repair damaged lips and Japanese camilla oil that seals in moisture and is packed with nourishing vitamins and omegas.
