Cystic Acne is No Match for This New Spot Treatment!
If there's anything that can put a spot treatment to the test, it's a cystic pimple. Luckily for me, I was blessed with a raging one on my cheek right after getting Murad's Rapid Relief Acne Spot Treatment ($22). Murad's newly launched spot treatment is a salicylic acid spot treatment that reduces the size and redness of your blemish. But here's what really caught my interest: it's supposed to do this in just four hours.

After the first use, I woke up the next morning and did a double take at my cheek. I had popped it the night before (I couldn't help it!), and went to bed with the spot looking very angry, red, and inflamed. In the morning, the redness was a fraction of what it was and the "mountain" was almost entirely flattened.
Honestly, I couldn't believe it.
That was enough to sell me on how good this stuff is. Since then, it's been my go-to spot treatment, right behind my Mario Badescu Drying Lotion ($17).

The only downside is that because it's a gel, it takes a while to dry. So I recommend giving it a bit of drying time before you turn in for the night to avoid it wiping off on your sheets. Also, one more note of caution is to be gentle when you squeeze it out because it comes out fast and you only need a little to get results. Waste not, want not!
Don't get me wrong, this treatment won't make your acne disappear right away–what spot treatment does? But it really does reduce the size and appearance of blemishes pretty quickly.
