Cruelty-Free Makeup Must-Haves | #MyVeganDiary
Switching to cruelty-free makeup isn't as big of a change as you'd think. It really isn't. I had a hard time in the beginning of my vegan journey because I love makeup, so I was scared I would have to give it up. I even debated making a "makeup exception" for my vegan self. But then I took a step back, reminded myself why I became vegan in the first place, and decided I needed to at least try changing my makeup habits before deciding it wasn't for me. At first, I thought there had to be at least one acceptable brand. Boy was I wrong. It turns out there are a ton. Many of the brands we all use and love are actually cruelty free to begin with.
There are brands that are known for being vegan- and cruelty-free like Kat Von D (she's vegan!), but it's hard to remember the huge and ever-changing list. That's why "Is ____ cruelty-free" is definitely my most Googled question and I'm assuming you do it too if you're on the vegan life course.
Luckily, in my constant searches I found Cruelty-Free Kitty's guide of cruelty-free and vegan brands, which is a great and constantly updated reference.
