The Moisturizer That Saved My Skin This Winter
Los Angeles' weather has been crazy and I'm starting wonder why I ever left the east coast — I thought I moved to constant sunshine! The recent rains and dry air have me worried about my super sensitive skin, which is why I can thank Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb ($38) for saving me.
I needed something that would be hydrating in the winter months but not too heavy on my normal-to-oily skin, so I added Aqua Bomb to my nighttime skincare routine. It's a lightweight gel cream by Korean skincare brand Belif, which debuted in the U.S. in 2015.
The Aqua Bomb is a cult favorite for good reason. The main ingredient is Lady's Mantle, which minimizes pores, soothes the skin, and hydrates. It also contains comfrey leaf (which heals skin and retains moisture) and plantin, which acts like a seal to keep your skin quenched. In addition, this light moisturizer doesn't leave my skin feeling oily and I wake up with hydrated, plump skin.
I use Aqua Bomb every night at the end of my skincare routine. Some people use a heavy layer as a makeshift sleeping mask, but two dips in the pod and I have the perfect amount to cover my entire face. That also makes the $38 price tag easier for my college student budget — I know this bottle will last me quite a while.
