The Best Beauty Trends Spotted at NYFW SS17
In the midst of New York Fashion Week, we're beginning to see a trend in the hair and makeup on the catwalks. From the high-voltage eyelids at Victoria Beckham (who gave a sneak peek of her Estée Lauder cosmetics collab at her show yesterday) and Tadashi Shoji to the slick hair at Thakoon and bright statement lips at Jason Wu, the 1980s definitely ruled the runways. Slick Wet Hair
It appears that many designers were inspired by Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love" video for their SS17 beauty looks. We spotted slicked-back styles and fresh-from-the-shower tresses everywhere. But it's not the first time we've seen the wet hair look recently: Kim Kardashian sported wet waves at this year's MTV VMAs.

Red Statement Lips
Fresh Face
The "no makeup" makeup look always makes an appearance (or many) every fashion week, and the spring/summer 2017 season was no exception. In addition to making a statement with red lips at Jason Wu (see above), Maybelline makeup artist Yadim Carranza tapped this trend by keeping the rest of the models' faces bare.
At Band of Outsiders, Maybelline artist Grace Lee channeled the bushy-browed androgynous look of Brooke Shields for Calvin Klein.
MAC artist Diane Kendal also went for bold brows and minimalism at Proenza Schouler, as seen below.
Technicolor Eyelids
Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer (and now beauty maven!) Victoria Beckham choose electrifying eyes for her runway show. Models sported a thick streak of shadow across the eyelids and beneath the brows. The result was a look that mimicked a highlighter marker being swiped over the eyes.
Tadashi Shoji and Ottolinger's eye game featured similar ethereal red-eye looks. For Ottolinger, Maybelline makeup lead artist Grace Lee used lip products (Color Jolt Intense Lip Paint in Red-dy or Not and Shine Shot Lip Top Coat) to create glossy red eyelids, while MAC makeup artist Pep Gay also used lipstick and gloss (MAC's Utterly Crisp and Impassioned hues from the SS17 line) for Shoji's pretty pink eyes, as he explained to Hollywood Life.
Another unique twist on the classic cat eye was seen at Noon by Noor, where NARS makeup artist Uzo used bright white liner instead of the traditional black.
