The Top Pencil Eyeliner Mistakes and How to Fix Them
For many makeup aficionados, eyeliner is an essential step of their beauty routine. From channeling our inner Hollywood icon to making our peepers look bigger, dressing up our eyes is definitely one of our favorite ways to make a statement with makeup — and if you use pencil eyeliners as much as we do, you know they're just as tricky as liquid liners. In our latest episode of The Cut with Susan Yara, we're sharing eight easy tricks that'll guarantee your eye game is always on point. Read on below for a few of our tips (we'll admit that we always have to remind ourselves of #7!), then watch the video for the full list!
Don't: Curl your lashes after applying eyeliner. Do: Curl them before in order to avoid smudging all of your hard work!
Don't: Line with a dull pencil. Do: Sharpen your eyeliner pencil every time you use them to get the most precise line. Plus, a dull liner can be too hard to control.
Don't: Get too heavy-handed with your bottom lid, especially when using a dark color — this can actually make your eyes look smaller. Do: Smudge your bottom lid so that the line doesn't look to harsh.
