This Drugstore Mascara Brand is the Best on the Market

Mascara was the first beauty product I ever used. I wasn’t blessed with spider long lashes, so I’ve become infatuated with those tubes of lash magic. The black liquid and brush do wonders for my eyes. That’s why over the years I’ve tried a lot of mascara. And I mean a lot. I have some high-end favorites and I also have a few holy grail favorites from the drugstore. I’ll spare you the long list, but there’s definitely one common theme—I love Maybelline when it comes to mascara.

Here are my top two favorites from the brand:

FOR VOLUME: Maybelline Volum’ Express The Falsies Mascara ($7)

This is without a doubt my favorite drugstore mascara. It was the first one I ever used. I don’t know why I initially picked it out at my local CVS, but man, I'm happy I did. I always keep a bottle of The Falsies in my makeup drawer because this product and I just understand each other. I’ve tried other drugstore mascaras, but this one keeps pulling me back in. It gives me the volume I want, doesn’t weigh down my lashes, and doesn’t bleed onto my eyelids or the skin around my eyes. Plus, it's easy to remove at the end of the day.

FOR LENGTH: Maybelline Lash Stiletto Ultimate Length Mascara ($9)

Here's a trick: if you want perfect lashes, layer your mascara. Lash Stiletto is what I pair with The Falsies. The two of them together make for fabulous, false-looking lashes. I get volume from The Falsies and I get length with Lash Stiletto. But, if you just want long, clean lashes, give this mascara a try on its own. You won't regret it.
