Is Dermalogica Microfoliant the Best Exfoliator?
I'm a total idiot for never trying Dermalogica Microfoliant until recently. I was working on a story about microbead-free exfoliators when I discovered the one I was using contained them. The horror! So as I researched to find a new one, I saw that Dermalogica's exfoliator was safe for the fishies. Luckily, but also shamefully, I had one sitting around, so I decided to give it a try.
Wow. After the first use, my skin felt smoother and looked brighter. I was sold and also angry at myself for waiting so long to try a product that many people have raved about. I now use it every morning and my skin has significantly improved (in just two weeks). I notice less blackheads and the texture of my skin is a lot smoother--I especially notice it when I put my makeup on.
So what's makes it awesome? First of all, it was one of the original products of it's kind on the market. Second, it's both a physical and chemical exfoliator. The physical aspect comes from the finely ground rice powder and the chemical aspect comes from papain, salicylic acid, and rice enzymes. It also contains green tea, ginkgo, and colloidal oatmeal to soothe the skin.
Plus, it's really easy to use. You just pour a half-teaspoon of the powder into your wet hands, blend it into a paste, and massage it into your skin for about a minute. Rinse and voilá! It's also gentle enough for daily use, so it won't dry out or over-exfoliate your skin. And if you use a Clarisonic, guess what? It can be used with that too.
Have you tried it? Let me know in the comments!
