This one only just became available on January 22, 2015 and it's already risen to the top of our list. A little goes a long way since it easily glides all over your skin. It offers sheer-to-medium coverage, enough to hide minor flaws and even out your skin tone without looking like you have makeup on (which means we may or may not have started wearing it to the gym. Don't judge). More importantly, your skin will look dewy and healthy, and will be protected with SPF 30. A clinical study found that those who wore it saw a 215 percent increase in skin hydration, so it has proof of it's moisturizing benefits. Pick this one up ASAP because you're going to love it.
It Cosmetics CC Cream ($38)
The full title of this product includes "Your Skin But Better" and we couldn't agree more. This isn't really a tinted moisturizer, but it has all the benefits of one with way more coverage. Really, it covers everything. But it won't settle into fine lines and wrinkles. The best feature on this one is that it has a physical sunscreen of SPF 50, which it one of the highest on the market. It also improves your skin as you wear it with anti-aging, brightening and color-correcting ingredients like peptides, niacin, algae, vitamins A, C, B, E, hyaluronic acid, hydrolyzed collagen and antioxidants.
Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer ($43)
Ask anyone in the beauty industry what their favorite tinted moisturizer is and it's very likely that they'll say it's this one. It has won multiple awards and shout-outs from experts. Perhaps it's because the goal of this product is to give you that coveted "no makeup makeup" look. It gives you a glowing complexion and has SPF 20 to protect your skin from the sun. Plus, it's great for those with sensitive skin.
philosophy Miracle Worker ($40)
This one doesn't bear the name "foundation," but we think it checks off everything on the list that makes you want to buy a tinted moisturizer. It offers just the right amount of coverage, contains SPF 30 and also has anti-aging benefits that help improve your skin. In fact, the brand claims it'll take 5 years off your face--sounds like a miracle worker to us! If you want lighter coverage with extra hydration, you can also check out philosophy Hope in a Jar Hydrating Foundation ($39) with SPF 20. Both formulas get a thumbs up from us.
Aveeno Positively Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30 ($15)
This one is affordable and works like a charm. It has light coverage and also contains light-reflecting minerals to hide imperfections and give your skin a pretty glow. It's also great for people that tend to breakout or have sensitive skin because it's oil-free and noncomedogenic.
